Generation and perception of Lissajous figures.
This research will go on from my draft paper on Lissajous figures to propose both
(1) some experiments to be carried out in a fully equipped lab at a proper scale, as well as
(2) a theory of Lissajous figure detection by humans, and possibly animals, which is consistent with such data. The project requires means to produce Lissajous figures, which can include both software and special-purpose optical hardware.
