I had a great deal of difficulty reading " The Rationale of Hypertext" on the screen, and ended up printing it out before I felt even remotely comfortable. I wanted the feel of a physical object in my hands, to experience its bulk and substance.

Subject: The love of books
the only worry that I have is that multi-media will eliminate the need for exercising the imagination. Adding voices and pictures reduces my enjoyment when it comes to reading books. In fact, I won't even listen to books-on-tape. I hope that future books don't reduce the power of the images created in the mind!
