... like Tracy I am learning slowly how to read on-line or on-screen. I don't think that books will ever totally disappear but I would not be opposed to a new digitized format if it ever comes about.

I, like Debbie and Jami and many others, also really enjoy books as well.
I don't ever really see them as vanishing altogether, so I dont' think
there's much to worry about in that respect. For example, oral culture
became print culture, but the spoken word is still very much a part of
human communication. It's just not the ONLY form of communication.
