As I told you in e-mail, we are going shift gears - following a more colorful path. But the idea is still to give you some flavor of what is involved in doing psychophysical research.

I'm at the lab in Gervase 418 almost every MTF afternoon from 3 to 6 (phone 687-0664 to check) and on Thursday from 1 to 4. The door downstairs in Gervase gets locked automatically sometime after 5 so 3 to 5 is best. Please let me know if you can't make these hours and we'll set up something different.

Munsell Color Science Laboratory, Rochester Inst. of Technology

you may recognize the name ``Munsell'' since that it the name
of one of the standard color-naming conventions, which depends
on establishing HSI (hue, saturation, intensity) values.  There
are commercially available paper squares which have prescribed
Munsell values, with respect to this subjective scale, using
white light with given values.

If you do an hour's preparation (looking on the web and/or in
a library), then you only need to put in 2 hours in the lab.
Yes, I know this is near the end of the semester but (from long
experience) you guys would not have started term papers yet, so
you're getting off easy!
