From Neil Bernstein:

Here are some additions to the Apuleius bibliography:

Callebat, Louis. 1984. "La prose d'Apulee dans le De Magia. Elements
           d'interpretation." WS n.f. 18: 143-167.

A linguistic and metrical analysis of Apuleius' prose.

Syme, Ronald. 1959. "Proconsuls d'Afrique sous Antonin le Pieux." REA 61:
        310-319.

Dates for Maximus Claudius and Lollianus Avitus.

Winter, Thomas N. 1969. "The Publication of Apuleius' Apology." TAPA 100:
        607-612.

By providing references describing ancient stenographers (_exceptores_),
argues (contra Abt, Vallette, and Misch) that Apuleius need not have
reworked the text of the _Apology_ after delivering it.

[I don't read Italian, so I can't annotate the following:]

Salottolo, E. 1951. "La prosa di Apuleio nel 'De Magia'." AFLN 1: 48ff.
