The "forms" feature of the WWW lets you include a place on a page you create that readers can use to respond to you in various ways. The one that appears here, for example, also appeared earlier in this demo: it lets you send e-mail directly to the author of the demo with comments, criticism, suggestions, etc. But the same feature is used on the Oxford English Dictionary display managed by the University of Pennsylvania Library to let you fill in the word you want searched and ask that the search be executed. A wide variety of interactive possibilities lurk behind this deceptively simple idea.
