Official data at the Ministry of Agriculture in Giza were made available to the author to check the above figures. In 1952, before the Law, there were 2,801,000 landowners, while the total land area was 5,984,000 feddans. In 1965, there were 3,191,000 landowners while the total land was 6,462,000 feddans.
