I really like the idea of the listserv, but I felt like it was not necessarily a forum for asking the dumb questions which often struck me (the "hey, I don't know what the hell he's saying here" kinds of comments"). Knowing (somewhat) the personalities in the group, I think most people just used the listserv to expound on whatever struck them after reading (or, in some cases, after happy hour). But had this been a listserv of people I didn't know, I would've thought it was a bunch of people showing off how much they know -- it wasn't as discussion-oriented as I would've liked in terms of vacilitating a back-and-forth exchange.
