I am a member of the Mathematics and Statistics department at Georgetown. My work centers on modeling the genetic evolution of populations. Recently, I have worked on modeling early HIV infection with the goal of improving our understanding of the early CTL response and its effect on intrahost HIV evolution and pathogenesis. Another area of research involves understanding the genetic evolution of subdivided populations.

My research is currently supported by a 3-year research grant from the National Science Foundation, DMS-1225601
