Billy Hickling

Billy Hickling

Originally from the mean streets of Long Island, New York, William “Billy” Hickling came to Georgetown from Hofstra University after receiving his B.S. in Chemistry. He enjoys Scrubs, sleeping, The Daily Show, sports, good bagels and pizza, hanging out with friends, and just living life and having fun. Aside from having more traffic circles than the rest of the country and four 2nd Streets that don’t even connect (was a simple grid too much to ask for L’Enfant?), D.C.’s relaxed vibe makes it a great place to work and play.

Haydee Dalafu

Haydee Dalafu

A native of the Philippines, Haydee Dalafu received her B.S. in Chemistry and Materials Science & Engineering at Ateneo de Manila University. After a year of the MS Materials Science program at the University of the Philippines, she decided to pursue a Ph.D. in Chemistry at Georgetown and now works in the Stoll lab. In her spare time, she enjoys playing pingpong and basketball, playing the guitar, and reading books.

Natasha Khatri

Natasha Khatri

Originally from New York, Natasha earned her BS in chemistry at Fordham University. On her down time she enjoys shopping (maybe a little too much) and finding new places to hang out with friends. Though it's quite different from NYC, there's been so many great experiences already that Natasha looks forward to what the next 5 years here have to offer.

Nick Rosa

Nick Rosa

Nick grew up in Tupelo Mississippi and graduated from Caltech in 2010 with a BS in Chemistry and Biology. While Nick lacks a Southern drawl, he does consider himself a gentleman with exquisite taste in the finer things in life, including coffee, facial hair, blazers, concerts, bourbon, and zombie fiction.

Susette Ingram

Susette Ingram

Susette graduated from Monmouth University in New Jersey with her BS in Advanced Chemistry and Biochemistry in May 2012. In her spare time, Susette likes going to the Jersey shore in the summer months and skiing in the winter months. Susette looks forward to the new experiences and opportunities that Georgetown and the DC area have to offer.

Undergraduates

Emily Japp

Emily Japp

Emily is a 2nd year undergraduate working with Michele on a research project to develop different contrasting agents for MRI. She is primarily responsible for synthesizing laboratory compounds, and analyzing their structures and luminescent properties. Emily plans on majoring in chemistry with a pre-medicine focus, and hopefully in English as well.

Kyle Pires

Kyle Pires

Kyle is an senior in the College who is currently pursuing a Chemistry major and a Philosophy minor. He is currently working on synthesizing various substituted versions of the Mn12 cluster. When he's not in class, in lab, or at work, Kyle can usually be found at your nearest rock climbing gym or ski slope.

Zach Reese

Zach Reese

Zach is currently an undergraduate Junior pursuing a major in Chemistry with a minor in Theology. He hails from the great state of Delaware, and he is currently working on developing a method to synthesize europium oxide films. As a triplet, Zach enjoys spending his free time with his brother and sister, and he also enjoys running on the beach.
