I expect you to attend class regularly and to do the reading assignments. Grades will be based on quizzes, homework, class participation, and a paper (due at the end, rather than a final). Students will present some material in class - hence the participation. The quizzes will be frequent and unannounced, designed to show you've been reading the material. There will also be some occasional homework.
