Hamilton Lab

Department of Biology - Georgetown University

Research in the Hamilton lab includes

  1. -Population genetics, both empirical and theoretical

  2. -Studies of polymorphism and divergence to infer the processes acting on nucleotide sequences (molecular evolution)

  3. -Development of predictions (hypotheses) for genetic patterns using computer simulation and analytical mathematics

  4. -Applications of population genetics to preservation and management of species (conservation genetics)

  5. -Genotype association studies to determine if genotypes or alleles are correlated with phenotypes
