American Literature Association Conference on American Literature

The second annual conference of the American Literature Association will be held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington D. C. on May 24-26, 1991.

Preregistration conference fees will be $30 (with a special rate of $10 for independent scholars, retired individuals, and students.) The hotel is offering a special conference rate of $60 a night.

American Women Writers of Color Conference
May 28-30, 1991
Carousel Hotel (Oceanfront)
Ocean City, Maryland

This three-day conference features 75 papers by scholars across the country. In addition, two evening lectures/discussions will feature noted writers Kristin Hunter, Amy Ling, Helena Viramontes, and Janet Hale speaking on the female voice in the literature of their cultures.
